about

The lead single and opening track to our debut album, coming March 4, 2021. A song about hoping for love, about pondering what it means to be true to yourself.

lyrics

I sat in that empty room,
with breezes blowing through my house;
and my nose bled
at the sweetness in the air.

I got up from the bed
and I flew down the wind to your house;
and watched as you washed
your long black hair.

I met you where the storm
sings thunder,
but when I woke up
you were never there.

I sat in that empty room
and listened to the birds fly singing
love songs to a world
without care.

But I never understood
why it was always so hard to say just what I wanted to say,
because disguises were never
what I meant to share.

You found me like the rain
fades into light;
and when i turned around,
you stood smiling there.
